The Importance of Rapid Resource Mobilisation - and how PMC delivers
The design, build and rapid mobilisation of new services delivered by teams in both the UK and India, is led by PMC Head of Service Design and Mobilisation, Vishal Shah
Engaging directly with customers, Vishal forms a bridge between customers and PMC delivery teams to shorten timescales from customer requirements to service or solution delivery.
Originally a senior developer and now with extensive experience of development and delivery, Vishal is exceptionally well qualified to provide additional support to PMC technical teams who engage early with our customers at the discovery and design stage.
Vishal joined PMC 14 years ago and has recently relocated with his young family from India to the UK to take up the pivotal role within PMC.
Aligning PMC Delivery Capability to Customer Need
Vishal ensures the rapid mobilisation of PMC Development and Delivery teams at project commencement. As the interface between PMC technical and commercial teams, Vishal’s responsibility extends through the customer's commercial decision to proceed and concludes only at the successful service implementation or project completion.
Talking about his role, Vishal explains, “Particularly when we begin a ‘greenfield’ project, a project starting from scratch, it’s really important to assign the correct team. We need to bring exactly the right skillsets and expertise to customer projects.
The customer rightly expects a prompt project start and an in depth understanding of the customer needs from all members of the PMC team.”
Leading a Team of IT Specialists
Vishal retains responsibility for the Development team in Baroda, now made up of around 100 experienced IT specialists. The rapid growth of this team reflects their success in delivering great results for customers including National Express, World Duty Free, Worldpay and Bravissimo amongst others.
The team comprises business analysts, developers, testers, scrum masters, technical architects, BI and UI/UX specialists. Projects undertaken range from website development, complex integration of retail systems, ecommerce, store systems, warehouse systems and POS development for a wide range of clients.
