Every year PMC hold a company day to bring all our employees together, we hold one in the UK and one in India for our Baroda office. This day is a chance for colleagues to spend some time together outside of the traditional office environment.
Company day gives all employees an insight into the strategy for the next year and our achievements from the previous year. Due to the nature of offsite working, bringing everyone together to bond is very important to keeping the PMC culture alive.
We have grown considerably over the past year so this day is also a chance for newer employees to get a full view of the company and meet those in other department who they may not interact with on a regular basis.
This year we held our UK company day in Oxford. The day was centred on spending time with colleagues and reflecting on our core values. We heard from our CEO Paul Mason on the history of PMC over the past fifteen years and the vision for the future.
We also had workshop sessions which took us through internal projects which have been happening during the year, a look at our customer life-cycle and two keynote talks from one of our customers, Paperchase, and our chosen UK charity Adoption UK. The Adoption UK talk gave an insight into where the funds PMC raise throughout the year go and how important the work that they do is to the families.
Alongside the discussions around the business, company day is also a chance to have some fun. With this in mind we had a session which gave us the chance to try traditional Gujarati food, as our India Office is based in Gujarat, and we ended the day with a quiz.
It was a great day with lots of food and time to catch up with colleagues.
