On September 11th 2014, eleven riders will embark on a 150 mile cycle from Whitehaven to Tynemouth in aid of Adoption UK.
The route of the challenge will see eleven cyclists depart from Whitehaven on the West Coast of England on the 11th September. They will head over the Lake District and Pennines through Penrith and Allenheads to finally reach Tynemouth on the East Coast on the 14th September– a total of 150 miles in just three days!
Training is going well so far with most members of the team getting some decent mileage into their legs. The next stage of the training will be preparation for the hill-climbs giving them the confidence they need to tackle some of the highest hilltops in the UK. No one is expecting this to be an easy ride and they will need their supporters who take the team to 13.

For the team it’s going to be a great personal challenge, but PMC’s chosen charity is at the heart of why they are putting themselves through this. The team have set themselves a target to raise £2000 for Adoption UK, so any donation – no matter what size, would be hugely appreciated. Adoption UK is a national charity run by and for adopters, providing self-help information, advice, support and training on all aspects of adoption and adoptive parenting. Through company donations and the fund raising efforts of our team we have enabled Adoption UK to launch its own website and community forum. With your help we hope to do even more.
