PMC & BITS commit to 3-year engagement & student placement programme.
PMC Retail have signed a three-year memorandum outlining the commitments from PMC and the Babaria Institute (BITS) for their student engagement and placement programme. The signing ceremony marks the celebration of the partnership and deepens commitment to the ongoing programme.
PMC has held the relationship with BITS for more than four years where it delivers joint lectures, seminars and conferences at both the Institute and PMC’s Baroda offices. Subject matter experts provide the students with invaluable insight into the world of retail-centred technology and focussed workshops provide career counselling to enable students to prepare robustly for their careers. Students are provided with thorough training and opportunities to work on live projects and exposure is offered across a variety of roles with insight into required skill sets.
A graduate programme is also run for final year students offering placements in Testing and Development at PMC’s offices. Offers of employment are made to the most suitable students at the end of the programme. To date, PMC has provided placement opportunities to 28 students and offered permanent employment to 11 students.
