17th December 2020- Global Testing Retreat’ is one of the largest testing conferences hosted by Agile Testing Alliance over the course of two days from 12th - 13th December. Now in its 5th year, the event went virtual, offering not only challenges and workshops but also keynote talks from industry leaders.
PMC’s test automation experts gamely participated in the ‘Automathon 2020’, a hotly contested competition for the Testing community to participate in an automation challenge.
After two gruelling rounds and more than 90 participants, the top 9 contenders moved to the final round. PMC’s Hitesh Prajapti and Vishal Parmar were among the shortlisted finalists and went on to secure first and second position, respectively, in this prestigious event. In the presence of other giants, the PMC team secured third place among the global participants. A result that demonstrates the truly exceptional skills of our in-house experts. .
Talking about his win, Hitesh Prajapati, Functional and Automation Test Analyst based at the PMC India office explained, “Being a part of a global competition is always great but challenging as well, since we compete with global experts. It was a thrilling experience owing to its nature and the timeline. I followed the strategy to focus on solving the challenges with 100% perfection and not merely completing them. I am thrilled to be titled as the winner and it adds another feather to my cap. In fact, it fuels me up for future challenges for myself and PMC!”
Vishal Parmar, also a Functional and Automation Test Analyst, who secured the position of first runner-up adds, “It was an exciting experience and a learning curve. I’m really grateful to the Agile Testing Alliance team for scheduling Automatahon2020. The event is a phenomenal blend of different perspectives on Automation Testing: FrontEnd, API, Mobile Automation, Continuous Integration and Performance Testing. This competition provided a common platform for people across varied expertise and experience. I would like to take this opportunity and thank Kaushal Shah, Steve Smart, and Teresa Cottingham for promoting this initiative and giving us a chance to participate in a global event.”
