Marston’s are implementing a new EPOS system across their estate which requires thorough User Acceptance Testing to ensure its stability prior to roll out. The Marston’s team did not have sufficient staff availability to produce and execute Test Scripts or to manage the testing process.
PMC provided testing resource to work with Marston’s and their developer to plan the Test Approach and schedule of testing. We supplied Test Analysts to create Test Scripts ensuring that all business processes were covered and tests could be traced back to those processes. Those same Analysts then executed the tests on both the EPOS and Mobile POS solutions. This testing was supported by a PMC Test Manager who worked closely with Marston’s to ensure that all defects were followed through to resolution, provided regular reporting and managed all resourcing requirements.
PMC found a number of critical issues in the EPOS solution and have been able to work with Marston’s and their developer to ensure that these defects were fixed and that the solution was retested afterwards. Our PMC Test Manager flexed the Testing Team size regularly to meet the peaks and troughs throughout the project - our PMC resource is more flexible than hiring testing contractors.
