Infrastructure Engineer

The Role

The roles of an Infrastructure Engineer include being responsible for designing, building, deploying, and maintaining the IT. Infrastructure, including working with Internet connections, Cloud technologies (AWS), virtualization platforms, storage area networks, firewalls, and VPNs. With their expertise, infrastructure engineers ensure all the systems within an organization function seamlessly. Working in a rota for being on-call to support our infrastructure and client base. Periodically on an Adhoc bases work evenings, early mornings, or weekend days to perform planned maintenance activities.


  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
  • The most common certifications for this profession include MCITP, CCNP or VCP.
  • At least three years’ experience in this position.
  • Should be knowledgeable about network and security concepts, SAN technology and storage, and tuning techniques and system performance configuration.
  • Be able to demonstrate a high level of knowledge of firewalls, AWS Cloud and site to site VPN configuration and monitoring.
  • Should have a high level of exposure to networking in Windows Server and Linux, TCP/IP environment, virtualization technologies, and OS performance monitoring.
